As Part of this assessment Objective you demonstrate good working practices with files, directories (folders) and sub-directories (sub-folders)

 

There are 5 tasks that you need to complete based on the ‘Keep It Clean’ scenario.  For each task you MUST demonstrate an understanding of the task through written work plus evidence in the form of print screens.

 

Candidates can work on the tasks at their own pace, but the teacher will specify a time period for when all 5 tasks must be complete.

 

Knowledge, Understanding and skills

 

As part o this Assessment Objective you will:

•     Create and name directories/folders and sub-directories/sub

        Folders

•     Save files in appropriate locations using appropriate filename

•     Locate and open existing files, using search facilities of

       operating systems software where necessary

•     Delete, copy and move files and directories/folders

•     Rename files and directories/folders

•     Create, edit and remove shortcuts

•     Backup and restore files from a removable medium

•     Password protect files
