1. Review 'control work' from Y7 and Y8
2. Explain importance of project diary
3. Spend a few minutes reviewing the Bridlington water ride photos (link below) and discuss.

Introduce the project and remind pupils of the system life cycle. Use 'Lesson 1 task-sheet'. Discuss the tasks involved and demo how to use a Gantt chart. Pupils to organise the given gantt chart and write-up what there project is about. The completed Gantt chart should also be copied and pasted into the project write-up.

Relate what you are doing today with the System Life Cycle.

1. Pupils feedback to class on work so far and issues.
2. Puils update project diary section of homework booklet.
